What's diatom?

Diatom is among the first single-celled algae that appeared on the earth. It lives in the sea or the lake. Diatomaceous earth has a unique molecular structure. Its surface has numerous pores, thus has high porosity and large specific area, which determines its strong physical absorption and ion exchange function.
