China And UAE Customs Signed AEO Mutual Recognition

   On the 22nd, the Director of the General Administration of Customs of China, Ni Yuefeng, and the UAE Minister of State and Abu Dhabi International Finance Chairman Shayeh officially signed the "General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China and the Federal Customs Administration of the United Arab Emirates on the Customs Enterprise Credit Management System and the United Arab Emirates Customs "Certified Operators" System Mutual Recognition Arrangement (hereinafter referred to as "mutual recognition arrangement")

It is reported that the “certified operator” is the Authorized Economic Operator, often referred to as AEO.

    In accordance with internationally accepted rules, the Customs shall conduct certification and accreditation of enterprises with good credit status, legal degree and safety management, and provide preferential and convenient to enterprises that have passed certification.

    After the mutual recognition of the customs of China and UAE, the goods of AEO enterprises can enjoy convenient treatment in customs clearance in the two countries, effectively reducing the trade costs of enterprises such as ports, insurance and logistics, and enhancing their international competitiveness

    It is reported that the UAE is a country along the “Belt and Road” and is an important trading partner of China in the Middle East. It is also the first country in China to achieve mutual recognition of AEO in the Middle East.
