Recently, the Ministry of Transport issued the “Decision on Amending the Rules of the People’s Republic of China on Safety of Ships” (hereinafter referred to as the "rules") by order No.6 of 2020, which will be implemented on June 1st,2020. The main contents of the amendment: first the requirements for container weight verification were clarified. Second, clarify the weight verification method and the allowable error range.Third, clarify the legal responsibilities of the container exceeding the maximum operating gross quality and the large error.
