According to the Dubai Customs Regulations, an eight-digit customs code must be provided on all cargo import manifests unloaded at Jebel Ali from June 15, 2020. In order to ensure full compliance with customs requirements, a valid 8-digit customs code must also be given when submitting loading instructions. If there are multiple commodities, the customs codes of all commodities need to be clearly listed in the loading instructions. Loading instructions without or without an incomplete customs code will not be processed further and will be rejected. The customer will be responsible for any customs fines and import delays caused by incorrectly submitted customs codes.
