A few days ago, the Ministry of Transport promulgated the "Decision on Amending the" People's Republic of China Ship Safety Supervision Regulations "by Decree No. 6 of 2020, which will take effect on June 1, 2020. For the weight of the container, it stipulates that the shipper's verification weight and actual error should not exceed 5% and the maximum error does not exceed 1 ton. If it exceeds, the maritime management agency will impose a fine of 1,000 yuan to 30,000 yuan. In addition, the carrier shall not ship containers that have not obtained verification information or whose verification weight exceeds the maximum total operating mass.
